SproutBank is a product of OceanBeacon AI, Inc., a Delaware C-corporation. When these Terms refer to "SproutBank," "we," "us," or "our," they refer to OceanBeacon AI, Inc. as the operating entity behind the SproutBank product.
SproutBank is a financial literacy and tracking tool for families. It helps parents and children track money, simulate savings growth, and build habits around giving, saving, and spending.
SproutBank is not a bank, financial institution, investment advisor, or money transmitter. We do not hold, transfer, or manage real money on your behalf. The balances shown in the app represent numbers agreed upon within your family — not funds deposited anywhere or guaranteed by any institution.
SproutBank is intended for use by adults (parents or guardians) who create and manage family accounts. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Children use SproutBank through accounts created and managed by a parent or guardian within the family account.
When you use SproutBank, you agree to:
SproutBank's daily savings growth feature is a simulation designed to teach the concept of compound interest. The default rate (75% APY) is intentionally high to make growth visible and exciting for children. It does not represent a real investment return, a guaranteed rate, or any financial product. Parents can adjust this rate to any value in Family Settings.
SproutBank is currently free during early access. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will notify existing users by email at least 30 days in advance, and any existing free access will be honored through a reasonable transition period. We will not charge you without explicit notice and consent.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing hello@mysproutbank.com. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated family data from our systems.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for fraudulent purposes, or are inactive for an extended period (we'll notify you before doing so).
We work hard to keep SproutBank running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. The app may be down occasionally for maintenance or due to issues outside our control. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.
We may update the app, add or remove features, or change how things work. We'll communicate meaningful changes. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
SproutBank is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the app's fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SproutBank and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including any decisions made based on numbers shown in the app.
Because SproutBank does not hold or move real money, the maximum liability in any dispute is limited to fees paid to us in the prior 12 months (which, during free early access, is $0).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, consistent with OceanBeacon AI, Inc.'s incorporation as a Delaware C-corporation. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SproutBank will first be pursued in good faith through direct communication.
